But the orientation of the cut makes fat quarters more useful than purchasing a “regular” quarter yard cut of fabric. Fat quarters are an ideal size for cutting many quilting pieces. Often, fabric stores sell fat quarters in coordinating prints. You can create an entire quilt using just fabric in the form of fat quarters!
